What is a Wealthy Business Owner?

My name is Terry Begue and I call myself “The Wealthy Housepainter.”

Let me explain that — I don’t have pockets full of money or live in a mansion; I’m wealthy because I’m living my dream life. I have a beautiful healthy family, including two grown children, which I’ve been able to support completely through a successful business. I’ve never had a boss; I decide when, where and how hard I work.

One is rich according to what he has, and wealthy according to who he is and the options available to him.

Real wealth isn’t about having a bulging bank account or owning a second home.

Real wealth is about having the courage and knowing in your heart you’re good enough to go after the life you desire. It’s about great personal relationships, a sense of humor, and a core of honest values.

To me, real wealth is about realizing and being able to put into action my unique gifts. I mean the type of gifts you can’t buy and no one can ever take away. You know; those things that make you special - qualities that set you apart and make you who you are. Wealthy business owners understand that it’s all about using those unique gifts and talents to create the life you want for yourself and those you care about.

How close are you to having the life you want? Do you consider yourself wealthy?

After four decades as a service-based business owner, I’ve learned that relationships are the key. My loyal customers are the reason that I haven’t had to pay for marketing in years - it’s all I can do to keep up with the referral business! By focusing on a simple set of four abilities that you already have - Likability, Believability, Trust-ability, and WOW-ability, you can develop Customers for Life!
